My relationship with dogs and training
I’ve been very interested in the animal and dog world since I was very little. By the age of 11 years old I was already fascinated by the interaction one can have with a different species like a dog. I was trying to figure out how to make the dog do whatever I wanted it to do. If was ever right it was pure luck, but the curiosity about the dog world and training was already inside me.
My relationship with dog training was also quite early. At the age of 21 years old I started reading about behaviour and psychology. I wanted to understand why we behave the way that we do and how our personalities and environment influence each behaviour. Little did I know where I was heading a long journey of 1000s of hours learning about behaviour and personality just started.

My beginning and working life
My working life has been very diverse. I’ve worked as an aupair, ecommerce, math tutor, taking care of kids, dog walking and dog training.
I began to research and learn about dog training in parallel to my job in ecommerce. Like you, I wanted to know how to change a dog’s behaviour so I could get it to listen to me and do whatever I wanted in an easy way, but as much as I was looking for courses, I could not find a complete, simple and well-founded training method that had all the practical and theoretical aspects that I needed.
How "The Sunny Method" came about
For this reason, in order to help other people with the same interests, I began to offer my dog training programs in 2018 through my website sharing all the knowledge acquired from the best animal behaviourist and trainers. Currently I am dedicated full time to dog training through Sunny Dog Training Ottawa .
My goal is to help you transform your dog and make it listen to you so you can have a more comfortable life in the future from a pet relationship/household management point of view. If you are looking for someone to help you train your dog, you have found the right person.
My dog training philosophy
My dog training philosophy is based on teaching the owner how the dog thinks and how to live with the dog to maximize the well-being of dog and owner. I don’t like to risk the relationship that we have at the cost of obedience. For this, I make sure I communicate in a clear way and show the dog how to get what he wants doing what I ask.
After seeing many dogs transform, the results that this method gets supports this philosophy of training. The method is like a whole new language that helps both owner and dog speak in the same terms. In other words, your life will get much easier and you won’t have to repeat yourself over and over to get the dog to do what you ask. It’s safer for the dog to listen to you and it’s a relief for you to not waste time and energy.
