Highly Recommend. An investment worth every penny. Belen is incredible.

We opted for the 4 week board and train with Belen to give our French bulldog Bruce as much training and exposure around other dogs as possible.

Bruce had become very reactive around other dogs, stalking, and lunging when on the leash with lots of pulling which led us to completely avoiding other dogs, and walks being very difficult to manage. Any off leash playing was also not an option as he would not come when called and was not food motivated at all. At home when the doorbell would ring Bruce bark and charge at the front door. He would also attack the vacuum cleaner and broom making cleaning at home very stressful.

I was very anxious leaving Bruce for a long period of time, but Belen was very accommodating and we were able to bring Bruce home on the weekend rest days. I was put at ease as soon as we met Belen as her love for dogs was evident and I felt comforted knowing we were leaving Bruce in a loving home. Belen sent us updates through the week and was reliable in all communication.

At the end of Bruces training I could not believe the difference. Managing him on leash was considerably improved with him walking attentively by my side. Bruce is now even able to play off leash in the local park with excellent recall and even taking his kibble as treats!!!  Bruce is also less reactive on leash, and I am continuing to great improvement as we continue with Belen’s training. Belen set solid foundations for us to continue to build upon. In our private session at home after the 4 weeks training Belen taught us how to manage the behaviours we were seeing with the doorbell, vacuum and broom and it was incredible to see how effective her training methods were and the difference in just once session. After a few short days of us continuing with the training instructions Bruce is no longer interested in the vacuum or broom and is no longer charging at the door or excessively barking. We have been beyond thrilled to see such a positive change in Bruce.

I would 100% recommend Belen’s training program. She is very knowledgeable, patient, kind and caring and loves dogs dearly. You can tell she is very passionate about what she does and wants the best outcome for everyone.

Our dog “Valicho” is a one years old Golden-doodle. Before the training he would not stop barking when going out to the backyard, not come back when called, running away when I try to fetch him back. When going out for a walk he would constantly pull me trying to run as fast as he could. He would chew my son’s toys and much more 😩 After the training he still barks in the backyard (it’s a dog after all) but comes inside as soon as I call him. When going for a walk he walks in a much more controlled way barely pulling me. He has stopped chewing things other than his own dog toys. Training really works 🤩

Belen is a great person, great trainer and has many great tips, including the best dog trimmers 😉

Before our training started, our 2 year-old rescue Geordi was lunging at people on our walks, and doing the same to strangers who were coming to our home. With Belen's help, Geordi's walks have become much safer and more enjoyable. Belen gave us the tools and strategies to keep training Geordi out of his guarding behaviours. I can not recommend Belen's services enough. I was struggling with two young dogs (1yr and 6mos). Walk time was a disaster and I couldn't control their jumping and barking.  I took advantage of Belen's Board and Train offer and when my pups returned they were new dogs and I had the skills to continue their training. They now walk beautifully together, no more pulling and jumping on each other. Their recall is excellent so I am beginning to feel more comfortable with them off leash. Belen helped us so much with our pup Walnut.  He was very high energy and easily distracted and wouldn’t listen. He was lunging at cars and squirrels and anything that moved and we were really concerned for his safety.  Since we completed the training with Belen Walnut is completely different! He comes on command and listens so well! We are able to take him to so many places now, even to patios and he’s an angel. Belen was extremely knowledgeable and personal throughout the training program we enrolled in for our dog Poe (2 year old Westie / Maltese mix). She got to know us and Poe on a personal level, and helped cater the training to how we can improve our relationship with him and ensure he was living his best life.

Walks were probably the most difficult thing with Poe. He would pull, jolt in unpredictable directions, and panic regularly. Within a single session, Belen had him walking beside us, and helped us get to a point where he is now a very confident and well behaved dog on walks.

Marta is a lively and active Yorkie puppy. Belen did a wonderful job of communicating her expectations and Marta’s hyperactivity, stubbornness and attention to details when listening improved tremendously over the three weeks we had Belen. My dog was very reactive on leash to everything. She would lung, bark, was always on alert and difficult to control when she’d see anything that moved,
(garbage, bunnies, squirrels, dogs, people with hats and bags)
Since spending three weeks at Sunny Dog Training board and train I am no longer anxious to go on walks with her.
I would most definitely recommend Sunny Dog training to any one who is challenged with their dogs behaviour.
My dog and I now have a better relationship and enjoy our walks together and now can even say a polite hello to other dogs.
